Daddycat's growing some catnip, just for me!!! I'm so excited!
I've had some before and it made me go a bit crazy, but when daddy cat gave me some of this, it just didn't spell right, and had no effect. Is he meant to give it to me fresh or dry it?
We tried drying it too cos daddycat had heard that you hang it up upside down, and that dries it, but it still doesn't look right! why would I want to roll in dusty old dead plant? I have an image to uphold, you know! Please ignore the donkey thing there, daddycat hangs all sorts of weird things around the place!
It's so much trouble, maybe it would be best to just buy another bag, but when we gets hold of a Personal Challenge © , it's hard to just give up!
Does anyone have any tips for us?

Our mom has given us dried nip and fresh nip...for both we roll around in it and eat it!
The staff has never grown us catnip (shame on them) so we're not really sure. We'll keep looking to see what happens.
well, it looks like catnip. we hears that some kitties don't react to 'nip, but if you has had it before an' got crazy, that can't be it. it needs full sunlight, mom sez, but http://www.gardenersnet.com/herbs/catnip.htm says full or partial sun is ok. maybe you needs a different variety, if there is such a thing? good luck!!
We've never had fresh nip, only the dry kind.
I do not enjoy fresh catnip, only the dried-up kind. I do not know why.
It seems like yours did not dry exactly right!
I never try that! Should I? Where can I get the seeds?
dude, not having thre right nip AND having to look at that out-of-reach donkey would make me mad enough to protest!!!
We've only tried dry nip, but our humans are growing seedlings for us in the windowsill. We'll get back to you about the fresh nip.
Momma has never grown us our own nip before but I would likes her to try! I thinks we has been given only the dry kinds and we loves the nip. Has a strong smell, does it smells like nip? Maybe someones swapped outs the real nip because they were jealous.
We've given you an award today:) Drop by our blog to pick it up!
Hey Freya!
A stupid question: Did daddycat get the real catmint (Nepeta cataria)? There are several other so called catnips (e.g. Nepeta faassenii) that bloom nicely but aren't attractive to cats. Maybe that's the problem and it's really only a silly dried plant!
